Movie Fantasy League October Update
Nearly a month in to our second annual Movie Fantasy League season, and we have a few teams starting to score some points, with 14 movies currently scoring. Don’t be alarmed if you have zero points at this point, all that means is that your movies haven’t released yet!
Our early frontrunners are the three geniuses that picked One Battle After Another, which has hit a domestic box office of $63 million as of this week, which has earned it 106 fantasy points for those three!
We also have a late entrant to the league - Katie! Welcome. Since Katie joined late, she was unable to pick from any movies that had already been released, so she is playing with one arm tied behind her back!
The big release this weekend is the biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, which was one of the more popular picks as E, Ruth, St. Shuffles, and Katie all selected it. We also had two pickers on Shelby Oaks, and one that picked Bugonia both of which also release this weekend. Good luck to you all!
Also, the Gotham Awards Nominations are next Tuesday, so we’ll see our first awards points attributed. If your movie is nominated for one of the big categories, you’ll get 15 points, and some of the lesser categories will earn you 10 points, so be on the lookout!
