Wow. This felt like a student film? And not a passing grade. Not much to say about it. This is a skip even for horror fanatics. Interesting to see Jord sour on A24 films in real time…

While the plot sounds really interesting, I did not take the reviews seriously before we headed to the theater on a Friday the 13th, and that was a mistake. My expectations were perhaps a bit high, but this was a major let down. The concept of keeping us contained in the house is interesting, but for one actor to do that much heavy lifting, the acting needs to be far better than it was here. Many of the podcast conversations felt and sounded like voice conversations with ChatGPT - so incredibly unnatural. And there was some potential for this to be scary, but it just really was not.

This movie was extremely boring, and has very little redeeming qualities. A movie full of gimmicks: One setting, two actors on screen, audio driven and to me not one of them work. Not only did they not work, but they were just badly executed. Having one actress run the show and have her not be great, that's a tough look. Lastly the story was boring and not scary at all in my opinion. Maybe A24 is truly falling off, because if this is something they are hanging their hat on, we have an issue.
